What search footprints are
A footprint is text that appears on a certain type of page. Sites that accept guest posts usually have a page titled "Write for us", "Contribute" or "Guest post guidelines", and posts marked "guest post by". Combining your niche keyword with these phrases and Google operators such as inurl: and intitle: finds them quickly.
From searches to a prospect list
- Run the searches and open promising results.
- Qualify each site: real audience, topical fit, recent posts, no signs of a sponsored-post farm.
- Note the contact name and the guidelines URL in a spreadsheet.
- Find the editor's email (author page, about page, or the permutator).
- Import the CSV into Pink Post; duplicates and blocked domains are skipped automatically.
How to spot low-quality guest post sites
- "Write for us" pages that lead straight to a price list and accept any topic.
- Posts on every subject from crypto to dentistry, with no real authors.
- Every outbound link marked "sponsored" or crammed into the last paragraph.
- A very young domain with big claimed metrics (check it with the domain age checker).
Google's spam policies name large-scale guest posting campaigns with keyword-rich anchor links as a link scheme. Pick sites your audience actually reads.
Footprints beyond guest posts
The same method finds other link opportunities: resource pages (intitle:resources), link roundups and pages to scan for broken links. Pink Post has playbooks for each, with templates and custom fields to match.
