Example

A sample campaign, start to finish

Say you run a home coffee equipment blog and want guest posts on related food and lifestyle blogs. Here is how the campaign runs.

The list

You search "coffee" "write for us" and "brewing" "guest post", check each site has recent posts and real traffic, and end up with 180 blogs in a sheet with columns for site, first name, email and a recent article. You import the CSV; Pink Post removes 12 duplicates and flags 9 emails without a working mail server.

The pitch

You start from the guest post playbook and personalise the opening with the recent article column: "Hi {first_name|there}, your post on {recent_article} made me rethink my grinder settings." Then three topic ideas that fit their blog, and a short sign-off.

The sending

With two mailboxes on Solo, each capped at 30 a day and warmed up, Pink Post sends the first emails over about three days, during working hours, with random gaps. A follow-up goes four days later only to blogs that have not replied.

The replies

Replies arrive in the unified inbox. Some ask for a fee and are labelled negotiating; you record the price on the deal. Others accept a topic, and you move them to Deal done.

The links

When each post goes live, you paste the URL and mark it Link live. Pink Post checks those pages on a schedule and flags any where your link disappears.

Common questions

Planning your campaign

How much do bloggers charge?

Many bloggers publish guest posts for free if the article is good; others charge a publishing or editorial fee, especially on high-traffic sites. Fees vary widely by niche and traffic, so set a maximum per site before you start, record every agreed price on the deal, and compare campaigns by cost per live link. Paid placements should carry rel="sponsored" or nofollow under Google's guidelines.

Blogger outreach vs blogger outreach services

A blogger outreach service or agency runs the campaign for you and usually charges per link. Doing it yourself in Pink Post costs the plan price and your time, and the editor relationships stay with you. Agencies can also use Pink Post to deliver their own blogger outreach service to clients.
